I don’t typically do this but for the safety of the kids I have to speak up… I recently went and toured the facility and I was honestly shocked and left with so many concerns, within the first few minutes of being there a young boy got out of a room and was wondering the halls by himself crying, when approached by a teacher he said he hit his head very hard the teachers offered a bandaid told him they would call mom then proceeded to brush it under the rug and never called mom about a head injury… during my tour the whole building smelled like dirty diapers and spoiled milk. As I go to the office my son runs out and I chase after him thats when I seen a teacher grab a student by her arm, aggressively yank her towards the wall and yell at her for not standing in line ( keep in mind these are 5 year olds!) after I left I found out that my sons half siblings got pulled out of this daycare for how unsafe this daycare is and how careless the teachers are ….needless to say I will not be sending my children to that environment. I also had a job interview there and I will not be attending that either
My son and I both have been emotionally abused by the directors of this facility for over a month. Children are sexually assaulting other children, teachers don’t do anything about it. Directors sweep it under the rug, don’t tell parents. Directors telling everybody confident information about other children and families to myself, and other families. After asking to see videos of incidents where my son “destroyed rooms” and got into physical altercations with other children, I was denied. My son was taken up to the front out of his classroom when no teachers called for anyone to come get him. He was up there with them for hours resulting in him destroying the office where tacks and scissors were all over the room, electrical things thrown down. My son could have been seriously injured as a result. How can you not stop a 4 year old from going that far? My son has been antagonizing for over a month by adults and children at the facility. I was told my son has mental disorders which is not their place to say, as they are not doctors. I had to ask multiple times for paper work to be filled out. My son has gotten hurt on multiple incidents without an incident report, he has to come home and tell me. They placed a size 1 diaper on my 3 year old child when i provided diapers. This place is not a safe place for children. The place is dirty, and smells.
Our family cannot say enough good things about Penguin Crossing Academy! Our older boy has been attending since we moved here a year ago, and our 1yo started in the Fall. The administration is organized, understanding, and kind. The (very) few issues or questions we've had have been addressed in a prompt, transparent, and helpful way. We have a child with severe food allergies and they have been understanding and accommodating, calling with any questions or concerns, and it has been an incredible relief to find somewhere he is safe.
The teachers are top notch as well. Our boys love going everyday and are seen for their individual selves, known by their names by all teachers, and they're always doing creative and educational activities that they send photos of on the Brightwheel app.
We feel like this daycare is a major part of our "village," putting our family's needs first and we're very grateful to have found them!

Caring, attentive staff that communicates frequently and effectively. Safe and clean environment. Multiple curriculum-enriching programs like music class. Food provided which is a huge plus for busy parents. Highly recommend!
My son likes his teacher. She is working very hard on making sure that my son and the other children can learn their letters and how to write them to get them ready for kindergarten.
The teachers are wonderful and provided great care for our son, when it was time to potty train, they worked with me and our son was very successful. Miss Christine, Miss Marissa and Miss Tara was all a pleasure to work.
My son goes here and his teachers are amazing! I love PCA so much! They are so loving and caring! All the staff have such big hearts and they all feel like family!
My Son has come here since he was 6 weeks old. He loves the teachers. He is now 2 years old and striving everyday. His teachers are always doing some kind on hands on projects with them and he is always telling me all about it.
The staff at Penguin Crossing has been amazing! Our little guy loves going to school everyday to see his teachers and friends. They have helped to build his confidence over the last 4 years as well. We feel very lucky to have such a caring group of individuals with him everyday!
I love PCA. They take such great care of my boys. Not to mention, they are doing a great job preparing them for kindergarten.
All my kids have been at Penguin crossing from age 0-4 yrs and the staff is amazing. Terrah is amazing at running the place. They are so inclusive and did a phenomenal job with kid who has special needs. I highly recommend penguin crossing Academy.

We have been so happy with Penguin Crossing. Our daughter has been there since she was 12 weeks and each classroom has been great. Would recommend.

We have been with Penguin Crossing Academy (previously Kiddie Academy of Lewis Center) for a little over a year now and have had absolutely no problems with them! They are super friendly, easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and work with you and your famliy's needs! When I first moved to Ohio, I needed immediate care for my oldest. Calling around to different places I was running out of hope until I came across them. They were able to take him right on and have been great with him since! Later on when I had my youngest, they were tracking that he was arriving and had brought up when I would need care for my second before I did and helped with the transition of going from one to two in care. I truly cannot gush about how much I love this place for my kids, and how much both of my children have thrived there! Highly recommend!
My son has been attending Penguin Crossing for a couple years and really loves it. The staff/teachers are great and do a good job of keeping me updated and engaged with pics, updates, and opportunities to connect. They have fun activities from petting zoos and magic shows to library visits. Great place.
These teachers go the extra mile to help these kids learn, & play. They bring creativity to new levels & meet kids at their learning ability!
My daughter has been at PCA since she was 3 months old. I was nervous sending her to daycare, but the infant teachers made me feel comfortable from the beginning. My daughter is now 20 months old and loves running to her class every day.
Both my babies go there and they love it, They have been going there over a year now and the teachers are great, they have great relationships with the kids. My kids barely get sick. They love their teachers. I absolutely love it. All my siblings have gone to the school & we just greatly appreciate them. I highly recommend them to anyone & to all the teachers that take care of my children, l want to say THANK YOU🙏🏾
Awesome learning environment for kids
We started my daughter here in June 2021 when she was 18 months old and have had the best experience. With every new transition, they have been so supportive and my daughter truly loves going to school here. I know she is loved and safe, and the app with all the pictures/food/sleep/potty updates makes you feel very involved in their day. We're so lucky to have found such a supportive place for her to grow!
